Privacy Policy

Account information. Your name, email address, and profile picture, provided when you sign in via Facebook/Meta.

How we use it: to create and manage your account, respond to your requests, and keep Funkd secure.

Linked Instagram account. Your Instagram username and user ID, provided voluntarily to enable saving content via Instagram.

How we use it: to connect your Instagram account to Funkd and enable the save feature.

Saved content. The URLs of videos and Reels you save, along with any titles, descriptions, tags, or collections you assign.

How we use it: to build and display your personal content library.

Content metadata. Creator handles, titles, and thumbnail images associated with saved content, retrieved from the originating platform.

How we use it: to display your saved content in a visual and organized way.

Usage data. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited — used for security and performance. Not used for tracking or advertising.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

Directly from you. When you sign in, connect your Instagram account, or save content.

From Meta/Instagram. When you connect your account via Facebook OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.

From third-party platforms. When you save a video, we may retrieve publicly available metadata from the originating platform.

With vendors and service providers. Supabase (database and file storage, EU-hosted), Vercel (application hosting), and Meta/Instagram (OAuth and messaging API). These providers are only permitted to use your information in connection with the services they provide to us.

To comply with the law, and for safety and security. We may share your information if required by law or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our service.

In connection with a business transfer. If Funkd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Under European data protection law, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and access controls.

Your data is stored in Supabase (EU-hosted). The application runs on Vercel. As a company registered in Estonia (EU), we process data in compliance with GDPR.

Funkd is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the app. Your continued use of the service after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
