Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — like whether you are logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it every time.

Funkd uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or sell any data to third parties.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies only. These are required for the app to function and cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication session — set by Supabase when you log in. Keeps you signed in across page loads. Expires when you sign out or after the session timeout.
    Names: sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token
  • Navigation shortcut — stores your username handle to redirect you instantly to your profile without an extra network request. Expires after 1 year or when you sign out.
    Name: funkd-handle

What we do not use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No third-party tracking pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, etc.).
  • No analytics cookies at this time. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified.
  • No cookies shared with or sold to third parties.

Local storage

In addition to cookies, Funkd uses browser localStorage to store lightweight preferences on your device — such as your grid layout preference and your username handle. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Third-party cookies

When you log in via Meta (Facebook), Meta may set its own cookies as part of the OAuth authentication flow. These are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.

Funkd does not control these third-party cookies and is not responsible for them.

How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies (authentication) will prevent you from staying logged in to Funkd.

Updates to this policy

If we introduce new cookies or analytics tools, we will update this page and notify users via email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect.
